Second day in Interculturality Enriches (23/08/2015)

Day 2 for everyone at “interculturality enriches”! Now that the participants have all gotten to know each other, it’s time for the work to begin! In preparation for the rest of the day, all of our actors and actresses started with some warm up games and exercises conveying their emotions through dramatic techniques. Some themes that were covered were death and love. Using their hands and eyes in particular during this exercise.

Following this, participants were asked to create 6 still frame images depicting the story of little red riding hood. (See below for photos!)

After a lovely lunch, participants went on to be split into the groups that they would be in for the rest of the programme. Each group had young people from Britain, Spain and Germany.

The main focus of the afternoon was to allow participants to get to know each other a bit better and get a chance to work more closely with one another. The goal was for each group to create a short performance on “interculturality enriches”. Throughout the performance, participants were asked to use red wool. The red wool symbolises unity between each of our cultures, as red is the only colour that is in each of our flags.
